Ralph Lauren presented its spring 2026 collection Wednesday in an intimate show at the company’s headquarters at 650 Madison Avenue, kicking off New York Fashion Week with a restrained palette of black, white and red and a mix of looks that ranged from sarongs and supersized straw hats to sequined dresses and overalls.
The setting marked a departure from the designer’s recent practice of staging runway presentations at historic estates or in the Hamptons, opting instead for a more contained venue on Madison Avenue. The scaled-back production did not reduce star power: a long list of celebrities filled the front row and aisles, including Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Mindy Kaling, Laura Dern, Jessica Chastain, Usher and Naomi Watts. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were also among attendees, and Winfrey was seen speaking with them after the show.
On the runway, the designer leaned into clear visual contrasts, presenting tailored and relaxed silhouettes alike within the three-tone scheme. Lightweight sarongs and swim-wrap references were paired with oversized straw hats that amplified a summertime silhouette, while sequined evening dresses and workwear-tinged overalls provided counterpoints in texture and mood. The overall presentation emphasized a curated uniformity, using the limited palette to highlight form and fabric.
Attendees reflected the broad cultural reach of the brand, spanning film, music and television. Oprah Winfrey arrived among the last guests before the show began and remained afterward for on-site conversation with other front-row figures. Mindy Kaling, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Jessica Chastain, Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, Ariana DeBose, Maggie Rogers, Elsa Hosk, Ryan Destiny and Katherine Langford were among those photographed at the event.
Ralph Lauren’s decision to stage the show at its Manhattan headquarters and to restrict the season’s color story aligns with a trend among some designers to scale and refine presentations while maintaining high-profile guest lists. The spring 2026 collection will be part of buyers’ and editors’ early assessments as New York Fashion Week unfolds and collections from other houses are presented this week.
