Ralph Lauren launched New York Fashion Week with a show that celebrated a fusion of strength and softness, attracting a constellation of stars to Tribeca’s Jack Shainman Gallery. The event officially ushers in the bi-annual fashion celebration, which runs through September 15 and will feature over 70 events across the city.

Actor Rachel Brosnahan described the collection as a "mix of masculine and feminine," noting the "beautiful corset lacing down the back of jackets." Eiza González, who recently completed filming a female bodybuilding drama, commented that Ralph Lauren "always knows how to design to make a woman look even more beautiful."

The front row was filled with notable personalities, including Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Debicki, Ariana DeBose, Meghann Fahy, Ella Hunt, Amélie Hoeferle, and Laetitia Casta. Davis attended with her husband, Julius Tennon.

Lauren’s collection paid homage to his menswear origins with tailored suits, ample trousers, and wide neckties, a nod to the item that launched his career nearly 60 years ago. Looks included crisp navy slacks paired with immaculate white blouses.

For evening wear, the collection featured fluid, ultrafeminine silhouettes, including long, sequined navy tank dresses worn over trousers, single-seamed wrap dresses, and swishy, full-skirted pieces. Models showcased a range of polished and poetic ensembles, embodying what showgoers described as the best of both worlds.
