The Pussycat Dolls are reportedly attempting to recoup losses from their current tour by offering fans a high-priced meet-and-greet package, following the cancellation of numerous US and Canadian dates due to insufficient ticket sales.
In May, the group was forced to scrap 33 dates across North America, with arenas reportedly 80% empty even after ticket prices were reduced to as low as $30. The cancellations occurred just a month before the first scheduled show in California. More recently, ticket prices for their upcoming UK shows were also significantly reduced to £37.
Amidst these challenges, lead singer Nicole Scherzinger is offering fans an "ultimate experience" package for £856 on remaining tour dates. This package includes time with Scherzinger, a photo opportunity, access to a pre-show soundcheck and Q&A session, and participation in Scherzinger's pre-show ritual. Scherzinger has previously described her pre-show routine as a calm process involving lighting a candle and listening to quiet music, alongside vocal and physical warm-ups.
Fans now have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the UK leg of the tour at a reduced cost. Ticketmaster is offering a limited-time deal where four tickets can be bought for £150, equating to £37.50 per person. The promotion highlights the chance to "experience the iconic hits, fierce choreography and signature PCD glamour live!"
The Pussycat Dolls are scheduled to begin the UK leg of their tour in Birmingham on September 29, followed by dates in Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Manchester throughout October. The tour is set to conclude in London on October 13.
This comeback tour has been marked by controversy, primarily due to the exclusion of three of the group's original members: Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. Bachar and Sutta have stated they were not approached about rejoining the group for the reunion and have described the current iteration as a "cash grab." Sutta indicated she learned of the plans at the same time as the public.
Kimberly Wyatt, one of the touring members, has hinted that this may be the final Pussycat Dolls tour. She described the experience as "really special" and an opportunity for the members to embrace their achievements and come together as "grown women." Wyatt also reflected on the significant life changes each member has experienced since the group's initial success, including her own life as a wife and mother with a dance academy in Surrey.
