The Pussycat Dolls are set to perform in Brazil for the first time in October, as announced by group member Ashley Roberts. Roberts, 44, shared the news on social media, posting photos of herself in a bikini on a beach. "Chicas it’s official, the @pussycatdolls are coming to Brazil. we couldn’t be more excited!!!" she captioned a post, also seen waving a Brazilian flag.
The announcement comes after the girl group was forced to cancel the entire U.S. leg of their comeback tour in June. Roberts, Nicole Scherzinger, 48, and Kimberly Wyatt, 44, had planned a 53-date tour across the UK, Europe, and North America. However, the 33 dates scheduled for the United States and Canada were scrapped due to poor ticket sales, leaving arenas reportedly 80 percent empty. Organizers reportedly attempted to boost sales by lowering ticket prices to $30, but ultimately had to cancel the shows before their scheduled June 5 start date in Palm Desert, California.
Roberts has continued to share updates on her activities, including social media posts showcasing her figure in swimwear and glimpses of her work commitments. She recently shared a post featuring various aspects of her life, including her radio work, attending Wimbledon, and fitting back into a childhood tap-dancing dress. Roberts captioned this post: "grateful that no day is the same."
