Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced her engagement to Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, with a photograph of a sizeable emerald-cut diamond ring shared to social media capturing attention.

A representative for the musician, born Karim Kharbouch, told TMZ that the couple became engaged during Paris Fashion Week in June. The jeweler Mavani, which said it produced the custom ring by appointment, posted images and an Instagram story describing the stone as an 11.53-carat GIA emerald-cut and referred to the piece as a "seven-figure" ring; third-party posts cited a reported value of about $1.1 million.

Since 2024 the couple have been photographed together at sites including mosques, restaurants in Dubai and Morocco, and on walks in Paris, where paparazzi images showed them near the Pont des Arts. They have also been seen on trips to the United States, including Disney parks in August, and on private flights, according to published reports.

Sheikha Mahra, 31, is the only daughter of United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Greek socialite Zoe Grigorakos. She often posts on Instagram, where she uses the handle @xtianna and has more than one million followers. The Times of India has estimated her personal net worth at about $300 million. French Montana, 40, has been widely reported to have an estimated net worth near $50 million.

The princess has launched business ventures under the name Mahra, including a perfume line called Mahra M1. Last year she released a scent she named "Divorce," after publicly announcing the end of her first marriage in an Instagram post in 2024. In that post she wrote, "Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife." The language echoed the traditional Islamic practice sometimes referred to as triple talaq, in which a man can divorce his wife by stating the words three times.

Sheikha Mahra married Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum on May 27, 2023. Photographs published at the time showed an opulent ceremony and reception at Zabeel Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre. Media reports put the cost of that wedding at around $50 million. The couple later separated; she has a daughter from that marriage, and has shared family moments publicly, including a photograph marking her daughter's first birthday.

French Montana, who was born in Casablanca, Morocco, was previously married and has had high-profile relationships, including a public association with U.S. television personality Khloé Kardashian. He has continued to record and tour while maintaining a public profile in fashion and entertainment circles.

Publications reporting on the engagement have noted the combined financial resources of the families involved and speculated that any wedding could be lavish. The Daily Mail cited a figure for the broader family's collective wealth in the tens of billions, and reported that representatives on both sides of the new engagement were said to be enthusiastic about the union. No wedding date or formal plans have been announced.

Media outlets that covered the story said the Daily Mail contacted Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum for comment. The couple and their representatives have not released further details about planning or timing of a ceremony.
