Princess Eugenie stepped out Thursday evening to help kick off London Fashion Week, attending a star-studded soirée at The Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone. The 35-year-old royal wore a sleek monochrome ensemble, pairing tailored trousers with an oversized blazer over a cream blouse, and finished the look with a burgundy leather handbag for a touch of autumn color.

Hosted by fashion photographer Mert Alas, the event drew attendees from fashion, art and high society as London opened its five-day schedule for the Spring/Summer 2026 collections. Seventy One Gin was the luxury drinks sponsor, and photos from the night showed Eugenie posing with Lady Mary Charteris, a British fashion model known for her pink hair, and walking in alongside sports and entertainment manager David Gardner.

The Chiltern Firehouse has recently reopened at limited capacity after a February blaze caused substantial damage to the five-star restaurant and hotel. Emergency services responded to the fire, which began in the building’s extraction system and spread from the ground floor toward the roof. Firefighters battled the inferno for more than eight hours, containing it and preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties. The venue occupies a Grade II listed building that was formerly the Marylebone Fire Station and is known for catering to A-list guests and royals.

The fire was later described by the London Fire Brigade as starting accidentally from burning wood falling from a pizza oven and igniting the void between the basement and ground floor. Officials noted the complex nature of the blaze and the challenges of safeguarding a historic structure during the response.

Eugenie’s appearance at the Chiltern Firehouse comes amid other royal activity this week. She posted a tribute to Katharine, Duchess of Kent, on her wedding day as part of a remembrance ahead of the duchess's funeral, sharing a black-and-white image from 1961 via the royal family’s accounts. The funeral at Westminster Cathedral drew many royal family members, and Eugenie’s tribute reflected her connection to Yorkshire heritage and the duchess’s long service in music and charitable work.

London Fashion Week runs from September 18 to September 22, showcasing the Spring/Summer 2026 collections across a range of designers and brands.
