Prince Jackson recently made a rare public appearance in Las Vegas to celebrate what would have been his late father Michael Jackson’s 68th birthday. The event, held over the weekend, took place at Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE show.

Video footage captured Prince, 29, joining a crowd of fans in shouting, “Happy birthday, Michael!” He was dressed casually in a black ball cap and shirt, and was seen interacting with attendees and signing autographs.

Michael Jackson, known as the King of Pop, died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50 from a heart attack. His birthday is August 29.

Prince is the eldest son of Michael Jackson and his ex-wife Debbie Rowe, who also share daughter Paris, 28, and son Bigi, 24. Jackson and Rowe were married from 1996 to 1999.

This is not the first time Prince has paid tribute to his father. In April, he attended the Los Angeles premiere of the biopic “Michael.” For the occasion, he wore a suit that incorporated a red armband made from the fabric of his father’s signature red corduroy shirts, a material he associated with his childhood.

Prince has spoken about his father’s legacy, telling ABC News that Michael Jackson was “probably one of the most misunderstood people out there.” He was also an executive producer on the upcoming biographical film “Michael,” scheduled for release in 2026.

Reflecting on his father’s death in a 2022 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Prince stated, “As long as you celebrate them, they’re never gone.”
