Pixie Lott showed off her baby bump on Wednesday as she stepped out in London, wearing an unbuttoned blue-and-white striped shirt and matching tie as she prepares to welcome her second child with husband Oliver Cheshire.
The 34-year-old singer, who is around weeks away from the birth, paired the tailored top with beige bubble shorts and brown fur heels, styling her hair in a neat ponytail as she headed to a waiting taxi. Lott is already mother to a 23-month-old son with Cheshire.
Lott has spoken in recent interviews about how motherhood and the move back to Essex have shifted her perspective and creative focus. "Being a mum and expecting another one, moving house and learning life lessons that has shown me a completely different perspective. It's shown me what is really important in life," she told the Daily Mail, adding that the changes have given her a "new focus."
She said she approaches her work with her child in mind and described her new single as reflecting a "coming of age" after becoming a parent. "[Being a mum has] changed everything. It's changed my perspective on everything. But I also feel lucky to be able to do what I love which is music, performing and writing songs. I'll still be jumping around the stage, I think I've got like six weeks left in me," Lott said.
Lott, who has said she enjoys having family close by, told the Daily Mail the move from London back to Essex was timed for this stage of her life. "We were in London for 15 years living in Battersea. It's great having my mum and dad closeby," she said.
Earlier this month Lott told The Sun that she expected to give birth in about four weeks and planned to perform at one final festival before the due date, saying her doctor had cleared her to continue performing as long as she felt well. She said her last festival set — at Flackstock — would be about four weeks before the expected arrival and that the adrenaline of performing helps her cope with the exertion.
Lott announced the current pregnancy live on stage at London’s Mighty Hoopla last month, cradling her bump as the crowd cheered. She kept her first pregnancy private until late in the term; she revealed her first child publicly in June 2023 via an Instagram post that showed her husband planting a kiss on her stomach.
Lott and model Oliver Cheshire met at a Select Model catwalk show in 2010, became engaged on the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral in November 2016 and married at Ely Cathedral in June 2022 after earlier delays related to the coronavirus pandemic. Lott has previously spoken about wanting a large family and described herself as a "big family girl" in interviews.
The singer, best known for hits including "Mamma Do," continues to balance recording, performing and family life as she readies for the arrival of her second child.
