Pizzeria Sei, recognized as one of the top pizza establishments globally and the highest-ranked in California, has opened a new, expanded location in West Los Angeles. The restaurant, which was recently ranked No. 2 in the USA and No. 9 worldwide, aims to make its critically acclaimed pizzas more accessible to a wider audience.
Founded in 2022, Pizzeria Sei has cultivated a dedicated following for its Neapolitan-style pizzas, which feature blistered crusts and meticulous attention to flavor. The new West LA location offers increased space for the culinary team to prepare its signature pies.
Chef William Joo, who was born in South Korea and raised in Los Angeles, co-founded Pizzeria Sei with his wife and business partner, Jennifer So. Inspired by Japanese-style Neapolitan pizza, Joo's creations blend traditional Italian techniques with Japanese precision. The pizzas are known for their charred and crimped crusts, high-quality seasonal toppings, a subtle smokiness, and the characteristic leopard-spotted char.
The pizzeria is officially recommended by the MICHELIN Guide California. Its original location on W. Pico Blvd. has often seen long lines of patrons eager to sample the pizzas, which are best enjoyed fresh from the oven.
The new West LA location officially opened on June 24. Reservations for the initial weeks have been fully booked, indicating strong demand from patrons seeking the highly-rated pizzas. The expansion is expected to enhance the restaurant's reach, particularly for residents in the western parts of Los Angeles.
