Fashion designer and P.E Nation founder Pip Edwards said she applies oestrogen cream to her face as part of her anti-ageing routine after turning 45.

Edwards made the revelation on the Darling, Shine! podcast, saying a doctor friend had told her that hormone replacement therapy can be "really great for your skin" because collagen production declines with age. "I just found out you can put oestrogen cream on your face, topically. And I've just started doing that and I'm like oh my god, this sh*t is working," she told host Ellidy Pullin. She added that a friend had warned her the product is commonly marketed as a vaginal cream, but said she was using it on her face for improved firmness and elasticity. Topical oestrogen gels are widely used to treat vaginal dryness, itching and pain during intercourse.

Edwards also outlined other elements of her wellness regimen, which she credited for a youthful appearance and maintained figure. She is a long-time devotee of Fluidform Pilates, a method developed by Sydney-based instructor Kirsten King, which relies on small movements and isometric holds. Edwards has previously attributed her toned midsection to the practice and told the podcast she remains committed to regular movement.

King, speaking previously to media outlets, described Fluidform workouts as involving tiny movements and isometric holds — where the body is held in a halfway position for up to 45 seconds — to strengthen smaller stabilising muscles. "I'm a strong believer in consistent, regular movement. Moving your body for just 20 to 30 minutes each day is much more beneficial than working out for an hour once or twice a week," she has said.

On diet, Edwards said she largely follows a vegetarian approach, "bordering on vegan," though she keeps eggs as a staple. She told Women's Health she often carries boiled eggs and Tabasco as a quick, portable snack. She detailed a typical day's eating as boiled eggs and a skim mocha for breakfast, soup or salad with coffee at lunchtime, trail mix in the afternoon, and modest dinners such as chicken with vegetables or a bolognese. She also mentioned enjoying tacos when allowing herself a more relaxed meal and indulging in sweets like liquorice on occasion.

Edwards said other recovery and wellness practices include acupuncture, weekly saunas and occasional swims at the Bondi Icebergs pool when it is open. Her comments about topical oestrogen come amid wider public discussion about hormone replacement therapy and skin health, topics that have drawn increased attention as celebrities and influencers discuss menopause and ageing openly.

Edwards made the remarks following her 45th birthday and relayed them as personal experience rather than medical advice. Medical professionals recommend consulting a doctor before using hormone-based treatments, especially off-label applications.
