Pierce Brosnan and his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, recently marked their 25th wedding anniversary, celebrating an enduring romance that began in 1994. The couple first met in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Smith, then a TV correspondent, was on assignment.

Brosnan has often spoken about how Smith helped him navigate his grief following the tragic death of his first wife, Cassandra Harris, who died of ovarian cancer in 1991. Brosnan was married to Harris from 1980 until her death, and together they had a son, Sean. He also adopted Harris's two children from a previous relationship, Charlotte and Christopher.

"Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie," Brosnan told the Mail on Sunday in 2013. He further described Smith as a woman who mended his broken heart after his profound loss.

Brosnan and Smith welcomed their first son, Dylan, in 1997, followed by their second son, Paris, in 2001. The couple exchanged vows in August 2001 at Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland.

Throughout their nearly three-decade relationship, Brosnan has frequently praised Smith, particularly in defense against online criticism of her appearance. In a 2022 social media post, he publicly defended her, stating, "I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes."

Reflecting on the longevity of their marriage, Brosnan shared with Fox News in 2023 that the key involves addressing challenges together. "You know, it's just solving one problem after the [other], whether it's the washing machine or how far the finances are going to go or what your dreams are... Ultimately, we just enjoy each other's company enormously," he said. He also described their shared journey as a "very spiritual journey."
