Phoebe Waller-Bridge garnered significant attention on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her partner Martin McDonagh's new film, "Wild Horse Nine." Waller-Bridge, 41, made a rare public appearance to support the acclaimed director, 56, as he presented his latest work.
Waller-Bridge arrived in a custom Celine ensemble, featuring trousers and a white cape, which stood out on the red carpet. McDonagh complemented her attire with a simple black suit. The couple has been together since 2017.
"Wild Horse Nine" stars Parker Posey, John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, and Steve Buscemi. The film marks McDonagh's return to directing after his 2022 film "The Banshees of Inisherin," which received multiple Oscar nominations.
The film's plot is set in 1973, leading up to the Chilean coup. It follows CIA officers Chris and Lee, dispatched to Easter Island. Amidst the island's iconic statues, the officers grapple with their pasts and present conspiracies, while Chris's developing relationship with two students threatens to disrupt their mission. The film is competing for the Golden Lion Award and is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 6.
Other notable attendees at the premiere included Laura Dern, Leslie Bibb, and models Kendall Jenner and Stella Maxwell, who also made striking entrances.
