Peter Andre and his wife Emily attended the 2025 WellChild Awards in London on Monday, presenting a united front as a public feud with his ex-wife, Katie Price, continued to attract media attention.
Andre, 52, wore a cream suit and Emily, 36, an elegant white dress, as they joined other celebrities at the Royal Lancaster Hotel for the annual ceremony that recognises the achievements of seriously ill children and young people in the UK. The event was also attended by the Duke of Sussex, who flew into the UK on Monday, prompting questions in some quarters about whether he would meet his father, King Charles, after an extended period apart.
The appearance came amid renewed tensions with Price after she made remarks on the opening night of her tour with Kerry Katona that the Mirror reported as referring to Andre's former manager and the dynamics of their relationship. Price was quoted as saying, "[Peter's manager] ended up managing me and Pete and... There were three of us in the marriage," and adding, "I've suffered 16 years 'cause of it, from when [we] split up I've had 16 years of hell." Katona, 45, reportedly interjected during the conversation.
The dispute has escalated in recent weeks after Andre released a statement accusing Price of "peddling baseless lies" about the couple's children and their living arrangements. Andre has said the children moved in with him in 2018 "for their safety" and that a 2019 family-court order enforces that arrangement. Representatives for Andre declined to comment to the Daily Mail when approached.
Resurfaced clips from Andre and Price's noughties reality series have also circulated online, prompting social-media criticism. Some commentators have described the footage as "manipulative" and "narcissistic," and viewers have pointed to moments in which Andre appears to mock Price and make remarks about his then-stepchild. Andre has said the clips are selective and has denied being ableist. In an interview with The Telegraph, he said, "Well, look, nobody's perfect. No-one's perfect in this world. Everyone makes mistakes. But you get the measure of me by meeting me," adding that people will form their own view of him over time.
Andre's daughter, Princess, who has launched an ITV2 reality show called The Princess Diaries, told the Daily Mail that any family fallout over recent events would be handled privately. She said the series is "my show" and is not based on her parents, adding that she does not see a rift between herself and either parent and does not consider it "worth" becoming involved in their public rows.
Price has addressed the controversy on her podcast, saying she "refuses to be gaslit," according to excerpts reported in the tabloid press.
The WellChild Awards, which honour the inspirational qualities of seriously ill children and young people, drew a range of public figures on Monday. Organisers said the event aimed to celebrate resilience and recognise those who support seriously ill children across the UK.
