Prime Video has confirmed a new docuseries, "The Crouches," starring former footballer Peter Crouch and his wife, model Abbey Clancy. The show will offer an intimate look into the couple's lives as they navigate a significant home renovation, their children growing up, and other major family events. A first look at the series was released on Thursday.
"The Crouches" will follow Peter, 45, and Abbey, 40, as they move out of their £3 million home, which they designed themselves, to embark on a new renovation project. The couple, who share four children—Sophia Ruby, 15, Liberty Rose, 11, Johnny, eight, and seven-year-old Jack—have stated the series will be a candid portrayal of their daily lives, potentially revealing moments they might later regret. They aim for the show to be a competitor to "The Kardashians."
Abbey Clancy has reached a point where she is prioritizing her own goals, having made sacrifices for Peter's football career. The series will explore whether Peter will support her new ambitions. "We're so excited about our new series with Prime Video," Peter said. "It's a bit scary as it's warts and all, but I'm sure you enjoy laughing with us (probably at us). There will be a lot of chaos and probably a few moments we'll regret letting the cameras see, some ups and downs, but it will be us."
During the renovation process, Peter is scheduled to travel for the World Cup, leaving Abbey to manage the children, pets, and the construction site. The couple has reportedly spent time in Portugal earlier this summer while some of the work on their new home was underway. Abbey mentioned on their podcast in July that they "absolutely loved it" in Portugal and that it worked well for them as they could renovate their new place and return when it was finished.
"The Crouches" is slated to launch on Prime Video in 2027. First look images show the couple being filmed and clinking glasses in an empty kitchen as they prepare to leave their current family home.
The couple also hosts a popular podcast where they discuss their relationship. Recent episodes have included humorous anecdotes, such as Abbey discovering Peter's past celebrity crush on Jet from "Gladiators" and a discussion about Peter's secretive planning of a golf trip.
