Singer Perrie Edwards has reportedly ended her 15-year association with her management company, Modest Management, and her record label, Sony. According to reports, the 33-year-old artist has turned down an offer to create a second album with Columbia, a label under the Sony Music umbrella.
Edwards has now signed with Various Artists Management, the team that also represents artists like Tom Grennan and Melanie Chisholm of the Spice Girls. A source indicated that this move marks an "exciting new chapter" in her solo career, with Edwards assembling a new team as she begins work on her sophomore album. The source also stated that Edwards has a clearer vision for her artistic direction and creative exploration following her initial solo endeavors.
In 2024, Edwards launched her solo music career with the single "Forget About Us," which reached the UK Top Ten and has accumulated over 51 million streams. Her subsequent releases in 2024 contributed to a total of 98 million streams. However, she took a hiatus from her solo music career during the Christmas break of 2024, later releasing her debut album, titled "Perrie," last year.
Edwards first achieved widespread recognition as a member of the girl group Little Mix, formed on The X Factor in 2011. The group enjoyed a decade-long career, becoming one of the best-selling girl groups globally with over 60 million records sold. The original lineup included Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Jesy Nelson.
In personal news, Edwards married footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in June. The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Alanis, in January, joining their elder son, Axel, born in 2021. Edwards has spoken about her relationship with Oxlade-Chamberlain, describing it as a source of "safety" and "calm."
