Perrie Edwards made a public appearance in London on Wednesday, revealing a visible baby bump in her first outing since announcing she and fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are expecting their second child.
The 32-year-old singer turned heads in a plunging white corset and matching satin skirt with lace edging, wearing a beige cropped trench coat draped off her shoulders. Edwards layered chunky gold necklaces, elevated her height with towering stilettos and carried a white Dior saddle bag as she smiled and waved to fans while stepping out in the city. The couple, who share son Axel, 4, announced the pregnancy on social media last week in a short clip that included lyrics from Edwards’s single "If He Wanted To He Would" and the caption "Guess what hunnies…," prompting congratulatory messages from friends and followers.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain began dating in 2016 and became engaged in 2022. Their son Axel was born Aug. 21, 2021. Edwards rose to fame as a member of Little Mix, which was formed after the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011; she launched a solo career in 2023 and released "If He Wanted To He Would" this summer.
In recent months Edwards has publicly discussed previous pregnancy losses and mental health struggles. On Paul C. Brunson’s podcast "We Need To Talk," she recounted suffering an early miscarriage during her first pregnancy and later losing a pregnancy at about 24 weeks after what she described as a distressing scan. Edwards said Axel is a "rainbow baby" and described the emotional toll of the losses, including returning home from the hospital with Oxlade-Chamberlain and feeling distraught. She said she discovered the later pregnancy while rehearsing for Little Mix's final tour in 2022.
Earlier this year Edwards spoke about living with panic disorder during an appearance on Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend, saying she fears having a life-threatening panic attack when alone and chooses not to be by herself because of that worry. She has credited Oxlade-Chamberlain’s steady temperament with helping her manage anxiety.
