Penelope Cruz Dazzles in Feathered Gown at Toronto Film Festival

Penelope Cruz commanded attention at the Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday night, arriving in a striking white feathered gown for the premiere of "La Bola Negra." The Spanish actress, 52, showcased her silhouette in the voluminous dress, accessorized with a gold necklace and her hair styled in an elegant updo.
This appearance marks a busy period for Cruz, who recently attended the Venice Film Festival. She is currently promoting two films that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival: "La Bola Negra," an epic directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, and Florian Zeller's "Bunker."
"La Bola Negra," which translates to "The Black Ball," is a Spanish-language film set across multiple timelines in 1932, 1937, and 2017. The movie explores the interconnected lives of three gay men and has garnered nominations for both the Palme d'Or and the Queer Palm. Cruz described the film as a story centered on "humanity" and "empathy," calling it "a love letter to cinema, poetry, and art."
Meanwhile, "Bunker" reunites Cruz with her husband, Javier Bardem, for their ninth collaboration. In this psychological thriller, the couple portrays a married pair whose 17-year marriage faces strain when the architect husband accepts a morally ambiguous project to build a survivalist bunker for a tech billionaire. Cruz's character, Sofia, begins working with an American novelist.
Earlier in the festival, Cruz also appeared at the premiere of "Bunker," stunning in a black leather and lace dress with a thigh split, paired with a black blazer and strappy heels.
Cruz was joined on the red carpet by Bardem, who opted for a more understated ensemble of a shirt, blazer, jeans, and trainers. The couple, married for 16 years, met in 1992 and later reconnected on the set of "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" in 2008. Bardem has previously spoken about their commitment to ensuring one parent is always with their children, highlighting his admiration for Cruz's character and beauty.
