Paranormal influencer Jiang Xiaorou, who garnered over 1.5 million followers on the Chinese platform Douyin, has died at the age of 24. Her passing was confirmed by her family on Tuesday.

Xiaorou died on Monday, August 10, after a month on a ventilator. She had been admitted to intensive care following a severe car accident on July 15 while traveling from Guangxi to Guangzhou, China. The crash reportedly resulted in severe brain injuries, organ damage, and hemorrhagic shock. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Known to her followers as Li Moumou, Xiaorou gained significant attention last year for an incident where she was filmed smashing a clay idol of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy and compassion. During the act, which she described as an anti-superstition stunt, she stated, "Let's see how long I can live." The video sparked widespread criticism, with many accusing her of showing disrespect to the religion.
