Pamela Anderson is developing a television reboot of her 1996 cult classic Barb Wire, this time with her two sons, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee. The project, described by Deadline as the first from Anderson and her children's production company And-Her-Sons Productions, envisions a TV series built around the Dark Horse Comics character Barbara Kopetski.
Deadline says the series will be produced for Dark Horse, with Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg serving as executive producers for the studio, alongside Anderson and Brandon for And-Her-Sons.
The 1996 film Barb Wire was based on the Dark Horse Comics character Barb Wire. Brandon and Dylan — whose father is Motley Crue star Tommy Lee — have previously appeared in reality series Pamela's Garden of Eden and Pamela's Cooking with Love; Brandon produced the 2023 Netflix documentary Pamela: A Love Story and 2024’s The Last Showgirl.
Anderson has previously admitted she couldn’t watch Barb Wire for 27 years; she later watched it in French with English subtitles. In an interview with TimesRadio, she said: "I look back and I think, you know, even those characters, CJ, Barb Wire, even Vallery Irons on VIP, they're Halloween costumes. I mean, because they're not just about the costumes, it's what's in the costume." She added, "There's a lot of heart in all of those roles. And it may not have been, you know, thespian in any way." She also noted she was 27 years old when she did Barb Wire and did not see it again for decades.
The piece also touches on speculation about Anderson's bond with her The Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson. The pair have sparked headlines since promoting their latest film together, but at a Deauville American Film Festival appearance, Anderson shut down the gossip, saying: "I do not and will never feed into PR stunts. That would be a death sentence. I'm authentically driven." Insiders cited in the report emphasized that their connection had been genuine, not a publicity ploy.
Deadline described the project as the first from And-Her-Sons, the production company formed by Anderson and her sons. No release date has been announced, and details about casting or a filming timeline remain to be disclosed as the project proceeds through development.
