The original cast of the "Terminator" film series gathered on Sunday at the "For The Love of Fantasy And Sci-Fi" event in London. Linda Hamilton, who portrayed Sarah Connor, and Edward Furlong, who played her son John Connor in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," were among the stars on stage.
Also present were Robert Patrick, who famously played the T-1000 in the 1991 sequel, and Michael Biehn, who originated the role of Kyle Reese in the 1984 film. Biehn also appeared in a dream sequence that was ultimately cut from the theatrical release of "Terminator 2."
Fans paid up to $500 for meet-and-greet opportunities and photos with the cast members. Furlong, now 49, first rose to fame at age 13 when cast alongside Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Terminator 2." At the time, Furlong had no prior acting credits.
Furlong's career trajectory shifted following his role in the 1998 drama "American History X." He publicly struggled with addiction, entering rehab for the first time in 2000 and experiencing subsequent relapses that led to legal issues. Images circulated in the past showing the effects of his struggles, including significant dental issues. However, Furlong has recently spoken about a "second chance" and has been re-launching his career.
Meanwhile, Hamilton, 69, has experienced a career resurgence. She made a notable guest appearance in the final season of "Stranger Things" last year. Hamilton had recently considered retiring due to hip pain experienced while filming the series "Resident Alien," but accepted the "Stranger Things" offer shortly after expressing her health concerns to her agent.
This London reunion follows a planned appearance by Hamilton and Furlong at Melbourne Metro Comic Con a month prior, which Furlong was forced to cancel due to a missed flight to Australia.
