Olivia Wilde made a notable appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Invite" on Wednesday, choosing a custom Saint Laurent gown that highlighted her midriff. The 42-year-old actress and director donned the striking design, which featured puffed sleeves, ruched hips, and a voluminous taffeta train.
Wilde's ensemble was accessorized with emerald and pearl drop earrings and a matching ring from Hanut Singh. Her hair was styled in a sleek chignon, complemented by glowing skin and a mocha smokey eye.
She was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Seth Rogen and Penélope Cruz, as well as screenwriter Rashida Jones. Cruz wore a custom sky blue Chanel gown, while Jones, who co-wrote the script with Will McCormack, also posed with the cast.
"The Invite," based on Cesc Gay's Spanish-language film "The People Upstairs," centers on a dinner party that takes an unexpected turn. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 10.
In recent public discussions, Wilde addressed persistent rumors of an on-set feud with Florence Pugh, stating in an interview with The Cut that she has "never had a screaming match on my set." She also spoke on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast about the dissolution of her relationship with Jason Sudeikis, noting a point where "you find yourself in a place where you’re like, ‘I don’t even know you.’"
Skin-baring fashion has been a recurring theme for Wilde on the red carpet. Her appearance at the Met Gala in May featured a Thom Browne column gown with a caged tulle bustle. Previously, she wore a transparent Michael Kors bodysuit to New York Fashion Week in September and a fully sheer Chloé gown to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
