Singer Olivia Dean has reportedly declined an offer to headline Glastonbury Festival in 2027, citing a desire to concentrate on writing new music. Dean, 27, was offered the chance to perform at the upcoming festival, where her former associate Harry Styles is heavily rumored to be a headliner.

An insider told The Sun that Dean was "extremely flattered" by the Glastonbury offer but decided to postpone her festival appearance until her third album is ready, with a tentative plan for 2028. The source added that while performing next year would place her name alongside Styles', Dean wishes to "move on from that now" and feels "happy for him to have his moment, but she doesn't feel like next year is hers."

Dean and Styles were previously linked in 2024 after being spotted together. Representatives for both artists have been contacted for comment.

In related news, Dean and Sam Fender recently achieved a chart milestone. Their song "Rein Me In" has become the longest-running number one single of all time in the UK, surpassing Bryan Adams' 1991 hit "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" with 17 consecutive weeks at the top of the Official Charts. This achievement also makes it the longest-running number one single by a British artist, overtaking Wet Wet Wet's "Love Is All Around."

Fender described the song's success as "ridiculous" and "an excuse to party," crediting Dean's contribution for making the song more universal. The Official Charts acknowledged the historic achievement for the two British artists.
