Olivia Attwood said she was “very hurt” as she addressed the breakdown of a friendship with her former assistant and close friend Ryan Kay, saying she had to “respect myself and draw a line.” The television personality answered questions from fans in an Instagram Q&A on Sunday and repeated that the situation played out over several months.

In response to a follower who asked “What happened with your mate?” Attwood wrote: “I’m just very hurt if I’m honest. Prior to what you might have read. I had to respect myself and draw a line - it was something that played out over a few months. And I guess I hadn’t seen things that I should of... I think??” She added that she gives everything to friendships and that losing someone close “suckkkkks,” and said she would explain more at a later date.

Attwood previously posted a cryptic message on Instagram Stories last week saying she was “so grateful for my small circle that gets smaller the longer I am in this industry — the ones who don't feed the press with false narratives.” She wrote that she hated being proven wrong and that “lots of people tried to warn you,” adding: “We can chat about what's been going on soon — I know you have questions but just not this week because in case you haven't noticed I'm kinda busy.”

News outlets reporting on the split have linked the rift to pictures of Attwood on holiday in Ibiza with longtime friend and colleague Pete Wicks. Several outlets said the photographs, which showed Attwood and Wicks appearing close on a yacht, prompted friction with Attwood’s husband, footballer Bradley Dack, and that sources claimed Kay had sided with Dack. A Daily Mail report said those close to Attwood told the paper the break with Kay followed the coverage of the Ibiza trip.

Representatives and the people involved have not released an official joint statement naming one another. Media reports have included differing accounts: while some sources told the Daily Mail that Dack had been angry about the images and that Kay backed him, other reports described longstanding unease between Dack and Kay and said the pair had not communicated privately outside of Attwood.

A separate account published by The Sun said relations between Attwood and Kay had “turned really sour” and described the split as awkward for mutual friends. That report noted Kay continues to work in the industry and is travelling the U.K. while styling radio host and influencer GK Barry on her live podcast tour. Kay has previously worked with other reality television figures including Georgia Harrison and Gemma Atkinson.

Attwood and Dack presented a united front at the London screening to mark the return of Attwood’s ITV2 show Bad Boyfriends last week, where Dack was seen greeting guests. The appearance followed the Ibiza trip, during which tabloid photographs showed Attwood without her wedding ring. Attwood has repeatedly denied any suggestion of infidelity, posting photos from the holiday under the caption “Off the rails” and responding to a fan’s concern about her marriage by writing, “Don't be. Worry about yours.”

Speaking to The Sun in July, Attwood discussed how her lifestyle and work sometimes create tensions in her marriage, saying she had been “carrying us on my back for a long time” and acknowledging the strain of different work schedules. She also said she remains a “party girl at heart,” adding that she would continue to go to raves and wear a bikini.

Attwood’s social posts and public comments indicate she plans to address the matter further but has delayed a fuller explanation while promoting television projects. Neither Attwood nor Kay has issued a detailed public account of their falling out beyond the Instagram responses and the social-media posts cited by outlets.
