Olivia Attwood attended the National Television Awards at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday without her husband, footballer Bradley Dack, after recent headlines about a holiday photo that prompted her to describe her marriage as "a work in progress." The 34-year-old television presenter arrived alone in an angelic white gown and drew attention on the red carpet, while Pete Wicks — who featured in the row — was hosting the arrivals.
Attwood wore an asymmetrical white dress with a satin lapel, a plunging back and a short train, keeping accessories and makeup minimal and sweeping her hair into an updo. Her solo appearance came after she acknowledged on Lorraine earlier in the day that the past six months of her marriage had been "challenging" and that both partners had made mistakes.
The visit follows images from a boat party in Ibiza in which Attwood was photographed with former TOWIE star Pete Wicks, prompting criticism online and unsavoury chants directed at Dack during a Gillingham match. The Daily Mail reported the photos showed Wicks with his arm on Attwood's thigh and said they sparked a wider backlash and a reported falling-out between Attwood and her former assistant, Ryan Kay.
Attwood told the Daily Mail and discussed the incident on Lorraine that she understood why Dack would be upset at the pictures and reiterated that their relationship was "not perfect" but that they remained together. "Me and Brad never pretend to have a perfect relationship," she said, adding that busy work schedules had contributed to strains in recent months and that both partners had erred.
She described the Ibiza episode as a holiday gathering while hosting with the KISS brand and said the interactions were misunderstood. "We were all on the boat, drinking and hugging each other and being best friends, it was family vibes," she said, adding that the situation "was never as deep as anyone made out."
Wicks, who was hosting the NTAs arrivals alongside Sam Thompson for a second year, did not appear to have a red carpet reunion with Attwood during the evening. Organisers marked the 30th anniversary of the National Television Awards, a public-voted ceremony launched in 1995 to recognise popular television talent.
This year’s nominations include long-running favourites and recent breakout shows across drama, comedy and reality categories. The ceremony again highlighted the dominance of British soaps, with Coronation Street and Emmerdale among contenders in the serial drama category, and recognised recent drama hits such as Netflix’s Adolescence. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were tipped to extend a long run as TV Presenter winners amid competition from Claudia Winkleman, Gary Lineker, Alison Hammond and Stacey Solomon.
Producers scheduled the show to be broadcast live on ITV2, with awards and performances filling the evening’s programme. The NTAs continue to reflect both enduring series and newly popular programmes that have attracted public votes over the past year.
Representatives for Attwood, Dack and Wicks did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Wednesday evening. The couple’s public statements indicate they intend to address the difficulties privately while continuing their professional work and public appearances.
