Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks were photographed outside Kiss FM's London studio on Sunday, smoking and appearing sombre as they returned to work a week after images of the pair together on a boat in Ibiza sparked widespread online debate.
Attwood, 34, told the Daily Mail in an interview published after the snaps that her marriage to footballer Bradley Dack had endured a "challenging" six months but that the couple remained together. She said she understood why Dack was upset by the pictures but insisted she and Wicks, 36, were "just good friends and work colleagues."
Photographs from the studio show Attwood dressed casually in a light grey tracksuit, baseball cap and trainers, accompanied by her dog Lola. Wicks wore a grey vest and jeans, displaying his tattoos, and chatted with Attwood outside the building. The images follow a widely circulated photograph taken on a yacht in Ibiza in which Wicks appeared to have his arm across Attwood while she wore a bikini, a moment that drew heavy attention online and at times hostile reaction from some football fans during Dack's matches.
In her interview, Attwood said she and Dack do not "pretend to have a perfect relationship," and described a shared effort to manage busy professional schedules. "Me and Brad never pretend to have a perfect relationship, we have been up, down, left, backwards, and the last six months have been really challenging for us," she told the Daily Mail. She added, "I have fed up and done stuff, Brad has fed up," and said the couple were working through difficulties.
Attwood and Wicks were signed as a presenting duo by Bauer Media's Kiss earlier this year and host a weekly show. Attwood also appears on Loose Women, presents on This Morning, and fronts a podcast and television projects. She said the Ibiza trip was connected to Kiss work commitments and characterised the boat scenes as friendly, saying the group were "drinking and hugging each other and being best friends" and that the atmosphere felt like "family vibes."
The Ibiza images prompted a range of public reactions, including critical commentary on social media and reports of derogatory chants directed at Dack by some supporters during League Two fixtures. The episode also coincided with a reported personal rift between Attwood and a former close associate, her ex-assistant Ryan Kay, who has been reported to have distanced himself from the presenter.
Attwood told the Daily Mail that she accepts the scrutiny that comes with public life and that the incident had largely "blown over" at home. She said she and Dack were aiming to find time together amid conflicting work schedules and that they were returning to "normal life." Wicks, a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, and Attwood continued their scheduled radio appearance on Sunday following the publicity.
Representatives for Attwood, Wicks and Dack did not immediately provide further comment beyond the interview remarks.
