Oasis are reported to be planning five concerts at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire to mark the 30th anniversary of their landmark 1996 performances, according to music industry sources.

Those sources told the Daily Mail the Gallagher brothers have tentative dates on hold for 2026 as part of an effort to extend the band’s reunion run. The reunion world tour, which began in July, has been reported to have generated as much as £1.2 billion, and the proposed Knebworth dates were estimated to have the potential to add about £100 million in revenue.

If confirmed, the five concerts would mark three decades since Oasis played two sellout nights at Knebworth in August 1996. The band drew crowds that totalled about 250,000 over the two nights; contemporaneous reports said more than 2% of the U.K. population applied for tickets and the shows sold out in under 24 hours.

Oasis reunited publicly last year after more than a decade of estrangement between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher. The current reunion tour opened at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4 and has since included high-profile, sold-out stadium dates in the United States. Weekend shows at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena reportedly drew 90,000 fans per night and were attended by figures including Sir Paul McCartney, Rita Ora and actor Leonardo DiCaprio; McCartney was quoted as saying simply, "Fabulous."

The brothers’ relationship has been volatile historically; the band split amid a backstage fight at the Rock en Seine festival near Paris in August 2009. That rupture kept Oasis apart for years despite enduring popular demand for a reunion. A 2022 documentary about the Knebworth concerts preceded solo appearances by Liam at the same venue, which some fans see as a prelude to a more sustained return.

Kevin Cummins, Oasis’s longtime official photographer, told the Daily Mail he believes the band may be ready to record their first studio album in 17 years. Cummins said he had seen signs of Noel writing new material on tour and suggested Liam had adopted a more measured stage presence, adding that the brothers displayed "a lot of fondness on stage between them."

Reports of the planned Knebworth concerts come as the reunion tour continues to travel internationally. The proposals described by industry sources are currently reported as tentative; no formal schedule or ticketing information has been released by the band or Knebworth House. Organisers of large-scale outdoor concerts typically face logistical and regulatory planning in the months before public announcement, including licensing, site infrastructure and local authority approvals.

Fans of the band and observers of the U.K. music scene noted the symbolic importance of Knebworth: the 1996 concerts are widely regarded as a high-water mark of the Britpop era and of Oasis’s commercial success. For many supporters, a return to the Hertfordshire grounds would offer a chance to revisit a defining moment in British popular music and to see the Gallagher brothers perform together once more on a site closely associated with their legacy.
