Oasis is on the verge of announcing a second major international tour, signaling a new chapter for the band and offering renewed hope for fans who missed out on the initial comeback shows. The news comes after Liam and Noel Gallagher successfully completed their highly anticipated reunion tour in 2025, an event that saw the brothers put aside years of public animosity.
Sources indicate that Liam and Noel Gallagher are expected to begin teasing the announcement as early as Thursday, with formal unveiling of new dates scheduled for next week. This upcoming tour follows the extraordinary success of their sell-out comeback performances, which reignited a frenzy not seen in British music for decades.
Unlike the uncertainty that surrounded their initial reunion, there is reportedly less concern about inter-band tension. "Unlike last time there’s not such a panic about whether Liam and Noel will get on, there isn’t the drama around it. It’s just a case of them looking forward to getting on stage," a source told the Daily Mail. "Oasis-mania is coming back!"
The reunion marks a significant turn in the band's history. Oasis had not performed together since their acrimonious split in 2009, which stemmed from a backstage argument between the Gallagher brothers at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. Noel Gallagher famously quit the band, citing an "intolerable" level of "verbal and violent intimidation."
When the band announced their comeback in August 2024, demand for tickets was unprecedented. The original series of 14 shows in Britain and Ireland was repeatedly extended due to "phenomenal" demand. However, the initial ticket sales process was met with complaints from fans about long online queues and significant price increases for some tickets, leading to an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority.
Despite the ticketing issues, the first concert in nearly 16 years, held at Cardiff's Principality Stadium in July 2025, was met with an overwhelming positive reception. The subsequent tour spanned the globe, with sold-out shows in the UK, North America, Asia, Australia, and South America, including multiple nights at Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium.
The announcement of a new tour coincides with the release of the official trailer for the documentary "Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger," set to premiere in cinemas worldwide on September 11. The film chronicles the lead-up to the band's reunion and their 2025 tour, featuring interviews with both Liam and Noel Gallagher, including their first joint interview in over two decades.
In the documentary trailer, Noel expresses initial reluctance about reuniting, stating, "I just don't see myself on stage with Liam. I don't really want to go back with the tension, will it fall apart again?" However, witnessing the fan reaction, he later acknowledges, "I'd forgotten what he [Liam] means to people. I certainly wasn’t prepared for the intense outpouring… a sense of what it meant to people." Liam adds, "We have got a chance to change the narrative of the band," as they are seen walking on stage hand-in-hand.
The documentary, produced by Steven Knight, will also be available on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year. Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger, September 11, cinemas worldwide, Fandango.
