Double Chicken Please, a New York City bar recognized for its inventive cocktails and food-inspired creations, is set to host a two-night takeover event in Los Angeles. The establishment will bring its signature offerings to Ardor, located at 9040 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, on August 13 and 14.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night, the Lower East Side bar will present a special menu featuring six exclusive cocktails. These drinks draw inspiration from familiar foods, transforming them into unique libations. Examples include the "Tomajito," described as a variation on a mojito with tomato vine and tomatillo, and the "Papaya Salad," a tequila-based cocktail incorporating fish sauce, tamarind, and kumquat.

Other featured cocktails will include the "DMV," a savory twist on a Vesper, and the "Dorayaki," a cocktail inspired by the Japanese sweet treat, made with bourbon, amontillado sherry, red bean, corn, barley tea, and lychee. The bar is also known for drinks like the "Japanese Cold Noodle," with rum, pineapple, and coconut, and the "Cold Pizza," which uses Parmigiano Reggiano, burnt toast, and tomato.

Co-founder Faye Chen is expected to be present, mixing drinks during the event. In addition to the cocktails, guests can order from a collaborative starters menu, which will include the bar's popular hot honey chicken. The bar's acclaimed fried chicken dishes, such as the "Mochi Donut Chicken Sandwich," are also a notable offering.

Double Chicken Please, founded by Taiwanese bartenders GN Chan and Faye Chen, originally gained prominence as a traveling pop-up before establishing its Manhattan home. It has received international acclaim, debuting at No. 6 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2022 and later topping North America’s ranking in 2023. It is currently listed at No. 41 globally.

Reservations for dinner at Ardor can be made through OpenTable, while seating at the bar will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
