Patsy Kensit has revealed that Noel Gallagher confronted her about her marriage to his brother, Liam Gallagher, and her subsequent career hiatus.

Kensit, 58, stated on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast that the Oasis frontman, now 53, expressed concern about her career choices during their union in the late 1990s. The actress explained that the relationship with Liam became so consuming that she "lost part" of herself and stopped taking film roles because she was "too afraid to leave him on his own."

"I think what I forgot in that time was how much I'd done before it," Kensit said. "That relationship became so big. It was bigger than me and therefore the pressure was huge."

She recalled Noel, whom she described as "lovely and divine," taking her aside and asking, "Why aren't you working? Why aren't you..." Kensit's response was, "Because I'm too afraid to leave him on his own."

Kensit and Liam Gallagher, frontman of Oasis, became one of the most famous celebrity couples of the Nineties, with their union coinciding with the height of the Britpop era. A defining image from this period was their 1997 Vanity Fair cover shoot, which featured them on a bed with Union Jack bedding, celebrating "Cool Britannia."

Before her marriage to Liam, Kensit had a significant acting career, starting in childhood and appearing in films like "Lethal Weapon 2" and "Absolute Beginners."

Kensit stated that Noel encouraged her to pursue her own career, but her relationship with Liam eventually "ran its course." The couple married in April 1997 and divorced in September 2000, shortly after the birth of their son, Lennon, now 26.

Reflecting on their meeting, Kensit recalled an encounter on a flight to Glasgow where Liam complimented her sunglasses. She described the beginning of their romance as "quite sweet."

Kensit was married to Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr at the time they met Liam, but stated they were already living separate lives. She and Kerr divorced in 1996 after a four-year marriage and share a son, James, 32.

Despite the challenges, Kensit expressed no regret over her relationship with Liam, as it resulted in the birth of their son, Lennon, whom she calls a "blessing."

Kensit, who is set to return to the television series "Emmerdale" as Sadie King after a 20-year absence, also commented on the intense public scrutiny they faced, noting that their relationship became a symbol of a larger cultural moment.
