Nicole Scherzinger celebrated her 48th birthday with family in Hawaii, sharing moments from the occasion on her Instagram account. The singer posted a carousel of images from her trip to her home island, including shots of her in a white bikini and with a birthday cake.
"Another year around the sun. And somehow, the greatest gift is the simplest one, coming home," Scherzinger captioned the post. The photos also featured her celebrating with loved ones and enjoying a seafood dinner.
This personal celebration follows a recent career disappointment for the Pussycat Dolls. The group had announced a comeback in March with their first single in six years. However, the North American leg of their "PCD FOREVER Tour" was recently canceled due to insufficient ticket sales.
Originally planned as a 53-date run across the UK, Europe, and North America, the band was forced to scrap 33 dates in the U.S. and Canada. Organizers cited poor sales, with arenas reportedly 80% empty even after ticket prices were reduced to $30. The cancellation occurred just a month before the first scheduled show on June 5 in Palm Desert, California.
The band released a statement on Instagram explaining the decision: "After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates." They confirmed that the UK and European dates are proceeding as planned, noting an "incredible" response with several shows already sold out.
The trio intends to continue with the European leg of their tour, which is set to begin in Copenhagen in September, with subsequent shows in Paris, Warsaw, and the UK. The only remaining U.S. date is a performance at the OUTLOUD Music Festival in West Hollywood Park on the weekend of June 5, 2026.
Ticketholders who purchased through Ticketmaster or AXS are slated to receive automatic full refunds. Those who bought tickets from third-party resellers were advised to contact their point of purchase.
The Pussycat Dolls' reunion has also been marked by controversy surrounding the exclusion of three founding members: Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. Bachar and Sutta have publicly stated they were not consulted about the reunion. Sutta described the situation as a "cash grab," while Bachar expressed personal disappointment but pride in her past contributions to the group.
