Nicole Kidman, a prominent ambassador for Chanel, recently donned a black lace gown by Atelier Versace for the U.S. premiere of her film "Practical Magic 2" in Los Angeles. Kidman, 59, who has been a Chanel brand ambassador since last year, paired the gown with drop earrings by Parure Atelier, a black lace choker, and matching lace shoes.

The gown featured a fitted black lace bodice and an asymmetric hemline. It marked the debut of a design by Pieter Mulier, the Belgian designer who took over as chief creative officer of Versace in February. Mulier previously served as creative director at Alaïa for five years and also worked for Calvin Klein and Jil Sander. This is the second designer to lead Versace in less than 18 months, following Donatella Versace's departure after a 28-year tenure. Mulier's predecessor, Dario Vitale, held the position for less than a year.

Kidman stars alongside Sandra Bullock, 62, in the sequel to the 1998 film "Practical Magic." Her appearance in the Versace gown follows a promotional tour that included other notable outfits, such as a strapless silver Chanel gown with a thigh-high split worn at the European premiere in London.

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock both attend the U.S. Premiere of Practical Magic 2 in Los Angeles.

The fashion choice generated varied reactions on social media, with some users describing the look as "sexy gothic witch," while others expressed mixed feelings about its suitability for the actress. The event also marked the presence of Sandra Bullock, Kidman's co-star in the film.
