Nicole Kidman has officially joined TikTok, making her first post on the platform with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the "Practical Magic 2" premiere in London. The 59-year-old actress shared a clip showcasing her preparations for the star-studded event, held at the Leicester Square Odeon.
Kidman appeared stunning in a custom silver Chanel gown, captioning her debut TikTok video with "Magic brought me here [sparkle emoji] #PracticalMagic2 @practicalmagicmovie."
At the premiere, Kidman reunited with her "Practical Magic" co-star Sandra Bullock. Bullock, 62, opted for a strapless leopard print dress from Givenchy, and the two leading ladies graced the blue carpet. The sequel to the 1998 cult film is set to be released on September 11.
The plot of "Practical Magic 2" is adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel story, "The Book of Magic." Set more than 25 years after the original film, the sequel follows the Owens women as they travel from Massachusetts to the United Kingdom to confront the source of their magic and protect the next generation of their family. The film introduces the next generation, including Bullock's on-screen daughters, Kylie and Antonia, played by Joey King and Maisie Williams, respectively.
Kidman and Bullock confirmed their return to their roles as sisters Gillian and Sally Owens in 2024. The original film, which earned $68.3 million globally against a $75 million budget, became a cult classic. Hoffman's "The Book of Magic" was written due to reader demand for a continuation of the characters' stories. Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the original script, returned to write the sequel with Kelly Marcel and Georgia Pritchett. Kidman and Bullock also served as producers, with Susanne Bier directing.
