Actress Nicole Kidman was recently seen enjoying a summer vacation in Portofino, Italy, in the company of Michael Reinstein, a private equity businessman. The two were photographed together at the Belmond Splendido hotel, sipping drinks and engaging in conversation by the pool.
Kidman, 59, who finalized her divorce from country music star Keith Urban in January after 19 years of marriage, appeared to be in high spirits. Photographs captured the pair in relaxed poses, with Reinstein playfully lifting Kidman's sun hat. They were also seen touching toes together and sharing laughter.
A source close to Kidman told the Daily Mail that the actress deserves happiness after her separation. "After everything she went through with Keith, she deserves to find happiness," the source stated. "She never thought her marriage wouldn't work out and she tried as best as she could to keep her family intact."
Kidman's daughters, Sunday, 18, and Faith, 15, are also present for the family trip to Italy. Earlier in the week, Kidman was seen celebrating her younger sister Antonia's 55th birthday on a luxury yacht in the Italian Riviera. She also recently attended a Wimbledon tennis match in London.
Reinstein, described as a silver-haired businessman based in Beverly Hills, appeared to blend in with other hotel guests, and the pair did not seem concerned about being seen together. Neither Kidman nor Reinstein has publicly commented on their outing.
Kidman's divorce from Urban was finalized in January. She had filed for divorce in September of the previous year. Under their settlement, Kidman retained primary custody of their daughters. This is not the first time Kidman has been married; she was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
Recent months have seen speculation about Kidman's romantic life. Rumors of a secret relationship with a "high-profile businessman" surfaced in April, and she was also reportedly pursued by Paul Salem, Chairman of the Board of MGM Resorts International. Additionally, Kidman sparked romance rumors with Australian actor Simon Baker earlier this year during the promotion of their thriller series "Scarpetta," though a representative for Kidman denied these claims, stating they are "good friends."
