Nicole Kidman departed Sydney on Sunday, leaving for Los Angeles with her teenage daughter, Faith Kidman Urban, after a surprise appearance at a screening of "Practical Magic 2." The actress was seen at Sydney Airport, boarding a long-haul flight.
Kidman had delighted fans with a surprise visit to a screening of the film at HOYTS Cinemas Entertainment Quarter on Friday. Upon her arrival, she announced, "I couldn't let you have margaritas without me!" The audience responded with cheers and applause. During the event, Kidman, dressed in an ivory satin and lace floral dress, expressed gratitude to her fans, stating, "It's really lovely 28 years later, as women, to still be here. So thank you for decades and decades of support. I love you."
Kidman explained that she had flown to Australia to surprise her local fans, having previously attended the Los Angeles premiere of the sequel on Monday. Her daughter Faith also attended the Sydney premiere.
For her departure, Kidman opted for a casual yet chic ensemble, wearing a baby blue ruffled blouse with cream lace, bell-bottom jeans, and a beige cap. She completed her look with a black Chanel shopper tote and sunglasses. Her daughter Faith wore a black tank top with white track pants and an off-white hoodie.
"Practical Magic 2" is set 25 years after the original film and is based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel story, "The Book of Magic." Sandra Bullock reprises her role as Sally Owens, with Kidman returning as her sister Gillian. Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are also set to return as the aunts from the original movie. The film is scheduled for release on September 10.
Kidman's recent appearance at the Los Angeles premiere also garnered attention. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she humorously stumbled over her words when asked about her designer attire, exclaiming, "This is Versace. Have fun. Let's party!" This moment was widely shared on social media.
