Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reunited on the red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday for the premiere of "Practical Magic 2." The actresses, who reprise their roles as witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, appeared together for the screening of the sequel to the beloved 1998 film.

Kidman, 59, wore a sheer black lace gown with a matching lace choker. The asymmetrical dress featured a high slit, and she styled her blonde hair in voluminous curls. Bullock, 62, opted for a black velvet gown with a sheer bust panel and a white lace collar.

The film is set 25 years after the original and is based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel story, "The Book of Magic." The plot follows the Owens women as they unite to confront the source of their magic in the United Kingdom to protect the next generation of their family. Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, who played the aunts in the original movie, also return for the sequel. Lee Pace and Solly McLeod are also featured in the film, which was executive produced by Kidman and Bullock.

This marks Bullock's first film project in four years, following a hiatus from acting to care for her late partner, Bryan Randall. Earlier in the month, Kidman and Bullock surprised fans by appearing at a Cinespia screening of the original "Practical Magic" at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Other attendees at the premiere included Joey King, who plays Bullock's youngest daughter Kylie Owens, and Maisie Williams, who portrays Kylie's sister Antonia Owens. Brooks Nader and Grace Ann Nader also attended in matching black gowns, and Josh Holloway was present in a black blazer and blue jeans.

"Practical Magic 2" is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 11. The original film, despite a moderate box office performance, achieved cult classic status. Hoffman has written three other books about the Owens family, stemming from reader requests for more stories about the characters.
