Thorp, known for her role on Coronation Street and as a regular commentator on This Morning, described Danny as an "incredible father, partner, friend and colleague." She urged her followers to "hold your loved ones close."
Victoria's sister established a GoFundMe to support Victoria and Dani Bear, stating that "life changed completely" for their family. She described Danny as a "devoted daddy" who provided his partner with "freedom, security and capacity to be a full-time mother." The fundraiser aims to provide financial security for immediate expenses, living costs, and childcare as Victoria navigates raising their daughter without Danny.
Danny's sudden passing has left a significant void for his loved ones. The GoFundMe page noted that due to unforeseen circumstances, Victoria will not receive immediate financial support, making the fundraising effort crucial for her and Dani Bear's future.
Thorp, who transitioned from acting to journalism and presenting, has been a commentator on This Morning since 2020 and has co-hosted TalkTV's Talk Today. She also participated in Celebrity Hunted with her husband Nikesh Patel in 2023.
