Nicola Peltz Beckham made her film festival debut at the 83rd Venice Film Festival on Friday evening. She attended an event at the Italian pavilion in the Excelsior hotel, arriving approximately an hour after the scheduled start time.
Peltz Beckham was accompanied by veteran actress Faye Dunaway, who is set to receive a lifetime achievement award. Peltz Beckham herself will be honored with a 'Rising Star' Kineo award on Saturday. She expressed her gratitude for the recognition, calling Dunaway an "icon."
"I think she's so talented and we are going to see so much of her," Dunaway said of Peltz Beckham. A small dog followed the pair as they left the stage, though its affiliation was not clear.
Nicola Peltz Beckham's film, "Prima," in which Dunaway also stars, is an independent drama about a prima ballerina. Peltz Beckham has been working on the film since January, serving as a writer and producer. The movie, directed by the Morelli Brothers, does not yet have an official release date. She previously appeared in films such as "The Last Airbender" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction."
Her production label, Bunny Films, is named after her late grandmother and is partly financed by her father, Nelson Peltz. Her last film, "Lola," received limited distribution and grossed less than $1,000 at the box office.
Peltz Beckham arrived in Venice with her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, on Thursday evening. The Kineo Awards, celebrating their 25th anniversary, are presented annually during the Venice Film Festival but are not directly affiliated with the main festival event.
