Eagle-eyed fans noticed Nick Reiner in the background of a photograph shared by "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Cynthia Bailey, prompting concern online. The image, posted to Instagram, shows Bailey's daughter, Noelle Robinson, hugging her ex-husband Leon Robinson. Reiner was observed at a nearby table in the top right of the throwback picture.
Social media users on Instagram and Reddit pointed out Reiner's presence, with some expressing alarm due to his alleged involvement in the deaths of his parents. "So y'all gonna act like Rob Reiners son isn't in the background there?! Oh ok," one user commented. Another wrote, "I think it is terrifying because he became a murder[er]. The thought that a man in the background choose [sic] to kill both his parents in a violent knife attack can seem terrifying."
It remains unclear when the photo was taken. Bailey has not immediately responded to requests for comment.
In December, Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Reiner, 70, were found deceased in their Brentwood, California, home. Their death certificates indicated they died from "multiple sharp force injuries" inflicted by a knife. Nick Reiner, who had a prior diagnosis of schizophrenia, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths. He faces a potential sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in February.
