BBC star Nick Knowles announced he will be taking a break from television to care for his wife, Katie Dadzie, as she faces another significant operation. Dadzie, who married Knowles last summer and is 27 years his junior, has experienced considerable health challenges.
"I will disappear for a while because I’ll be looking after her," Knowles, 63, stated at the TRIC Awards. "She’s had a lot of tough times. She’s got another operation coming up."
Dadzie, 36, previously underwent life-saving surgery for a ruptured cervix following a hysterectomy. She has spoken openly about her struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and adenomyosis, conditions that have caused chronic pain and fatigue. Knowles expressed confidence in her recovery, noting, "She has an amazing surgeon going into this next one, so we are hoping it’s going to be the final one."
Knowles, who has four children from previous relationships, described his wife as "a warrior and a fighter." He has previously worked on royal projects, including a documentary for Prince William's Heads Together campaign. Knowles also famously persuaded Prince William to appear on the BBC program DIY SOS.
