Radio DJ Nick Grimshaw was hospitalized on the day of Matty Healy's wedding in Los Angeles after suffering a severe allergic reaction. The incident occurred last month when Grimshaw was drinking juice in his hotel.
He described the reaction on the Sidetracked podcast, detailing how his eye swelled and his throat became inflamed. "It was so bad, my nose inflated outwards and my eyes closed so then I was freaking out," Grimshaw recounted. Hotel staff inquired if he had a nut allergy, which he denied. He also recalled being asked if he could breathe and if his mouth was closing up.
Grimshaw stated he had to go to the emergency room and receive a steroid shot. Following the injection, he felt unwell and experienced joint pain. Singer Charli XCX reportedly assisted him, arranging for a doctor to assess his condition due to ongoing pain.
Despite the health scare, Grimshaw attended Matty Healy and Gabbriette's wedding ceremony. He noted that he had to wear sunglasses throughout the event.
