The second season of the comedy-drama "The Paper" and the new Bloc Party album "Anatomy of a Brief Romance" are among the notable streaming and music releases for the week of September 7.
Bloc Party's new album continues the band's signature dance-y post-punk sound, updated for a contemporary audience. The week also sees the release of "Hard Life," the latest album from indie rock band The Tubs, which has been praised for its empathetic and sometimes self-deprecating pop songs.
In television, the French series "Call My Agent!" returns as a movie on Netflix, with the plot following agent Andréa Martel as she oversees a troubled film production. "The Paper," a full season of the "Office" spinoff about the staff of the Toledo Truth Teller newspaper, also drops on Peacock.
Reality television fans can look forward to the return of Carole Radziwill for Season 16 of "The Real Housewives of New York City" on Peacock. "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" premieres its fifth season on September 10, featuring a condensed five-episode run focusing on fallout from a domestic violence investigation.
Other television releases include "Crew Girl," a new young adult drama about a rower joining an elite prep school's all-boys crew team, debuting on Netflix. HBO will premiere a three-part docuseries titled "A Killer Story," which examines the Dana Chandler case.
For gamers, "Halloween: The Game," an asymmetrical 1-vs.-4 thriller where one player controls Michael Myers and four others play as Haddonfield residents, is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, and PC starting September 8.
Additionally, the action film "In the Grey," starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, becomes available on Starz on September 12.
