Several new films have become available for rent or purchase on digital platforms this week, including the supernatural horror "Passenger," the Hong Kong martial arts thriller "The Furious," and the coming-of-age drama "Girls Like Girls."

"Passenger" centers on a young engaged couple, Tyler and Maddie, who adopt a nomadic lifestyle in their van. Their road trip takes a terrifying turn when they witness a mysterious death and realize they are being targeted by a supernatural killer known as the Passenger. The film stars Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell, with Melissa Leo also appearing.

"The Furious" is a martial arts action film from Hong Kong that follows a handyman with a hidden past on a quest to rescue his daughter from traffickers. The movie features actor Xie Miao in the lead role.

Actress and singer Hayley Kiyoko makes her directorial debut with "Girls Like Girls," a queer coming-of-age story based on her 2023 book of the same name. Set in 2006, the film explores the evolving relationship between two teenage friends, Coley and Sonya, as they discover their feelings for each other. Maya da Costa and Myra Molloy star as the central characters, with Levon Hawke and Zach Braff also in the cast.

These films, along with others such as "Black Box," "Influenced," and "Hot Girl Summer," are available on platforms including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through cable service providers. The full list of new releases on various streaming services is updated monthly.
