The new Amazon Prime Original series "Elle," a prequel to the beloved 2001 film "Legally Blonde," premiered on July 1. The show delves into the early life of Elle Woods before her time at Harvard Law School.

Set in 1995, "Elle" chronicles the experiences of a high school-aged Elle who has recently relocated to Seattle from Bel Air. The series explores her encounters with challenging friendships, a budding romance, and her signature fashion sense.

Newcomer Lexi Minetree takes on the iconic role of Elle Woods, originally portrayed by Reese Witherspoon. Minetree secured the part after creating her own rendition of Elle's Harvard audition tape. Amazon has already greenlit "Elle" for a second season ahead of its debut.
