Netflix will begin streaming Season 14 of "Call the Midwife" at 3 a.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 15, the streamer confirmed, bringing the latest installment of the BBC drama to subscribers who missed the season’s PBS broadcast or prefer to binge the series.

Season 14 of "Call the Midwife," which centers on the Nonnatus House midwives entering the 1970s and confronting social and medical changes of the era, completed its run on PBS in May 2025. Netflix already carries seasons 1 through 13 of the series.

The arrival on Netflix follows a pattern familiar to U.S. viewers: recent seasons of "Call the Midwife" have debuted on PBS in March and then reached streaming platforms later in the year. Seasons 12, 13 and 14 premiered on PBS in March 2023, March 2024 and March 2025, respectively. The Sept. 15 Netflix date offers an opportunity for viewers who do not subscribe to PBS or who prefer on-demand viewing to catch up ahead of the next season.

The BBC announced a renewal for Season 15 in February 2023, and production on that season is already under way, though no official PBS premiere date has been set. Given the series’ recent annual cycle, PBS and streaming viewers can reasonably expect a rollout in spring 2026 if the broadcaster follows the established schedule, but officials have not confirmed a date.

Streaming access to Season 14 will require a Netflix subscription. Netflix’s current monthly price tiers include a low-cost plan starting at $7.99, and ad-free options at higher price points, with the Standard plan listed at $17.99 and the Premium plan at $24.99. Availability and pricing vary by market and are set by the streaming service.

"Call the Midwife" remains one of the BBC’s most-watched period dramas, noted for its focus on midwifery, community health and social change in postwar Britain. Season 14 continues those themes as the characters adapt to shifting social norms and medical practices at the outset of the 1970s.

With Season 14 joining Netflix in mid-September, viewers who prefer to watch at their own pace will have the full run of the series through season 14 on the platform, while PBS will remain the linear home for new episodes and any future premiere windows.
