Hudson Stone, the eldest child of Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone and U.S. actress Lindsay Price, has landed a role in Disney Channel's Camp Rock 3.
Price announced on Instagram that Hudson had been cast in the third installment of the popular Disney Channel franchise Camp Rock, sharing a series of photos and clips from the casting announcement and rehearsals on the stage. "Out of nowhere. Like a bolt of lightning. You stepped into your story. We didn’t plan it but it was meant to be. I’m so proud of you," Price wrote. "You were born to rock and share your light. You just say yes and I’ll try it with all your joy and look what happens. Look. At. YOU. Congrats my beautiful boy."
The post drew a wave of congratulations from friends and followers, including US actress Rebecca Gayheart, who wrote, "Congratulations!!!! It’s all so mind blowing watching these kids grow up and find their groove!" A fan chimed in, saying, "My Goodness even his name screams Star! Congratulations!" The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots summed up the sentiment with, "Coolest kid. Best parents. This is awesome."
The project places Hudson alongside a cast that includes the Jonas Brothers—Nick, Joe and Kevin—who were also announced to star in Camp Rock 3. The news aligns with a growing path for Hudson toward screen work, a path that his parents have long supported.
Curtis Stone has spoken in the past about his son’s early ambitions. In a 2019 interview with The Daily Mail, he recalled that Hudson had already voiced interest in following in his mother’s or his father’s footsteps. "My oldest son, who’s nearly eight, just had a careers day. They had to fill out what the occupation they wanted to be was, and he wrote chef or actor," Curtis said. The couple, who met on a blind date in 2009, married in September 2013, and Hudson was born in 2011, with a younger son, Emerson, arriving in 2014.
Lindsay Price has a long resume on U.S. television and daytime soaps, with credits that include Lipstick Jungle and major soap operas such as The Bold and the Beautiful and All My Children, in addition to a run on Beverly Hills, 90210. Curtis Stone, widely known in Australia and the United States, has hosted shows such as Surfing the Menu and Iron Chef America and has appeared on My Kitchen Rules in both the Australian and U.S. versions. He is also a best-selling cookbook author.
