Comedian Nate Bargatze has posted on Instagram for the first time since his attendance at a White House event celebrating President Donald Trump's birthday drew criticism. Bargatze, who has cultivated a public image as an apolitical entertainer, shared tour information without directly addressing his presence at the event.

"Three cities. Four shows. One great weekend," Bargatze wrote in his Instagram post, accompanying a photo of himself performing. "Thanks to everyone who joined us in Houston, Austin, and Corpus Christi. Phoenix, we’ll see you soon 👀" He also shared photos from these shows on his Instagram Stories.

While many comments on his recent post have been supportive, reports indicate that negative comments were being rapidly deleted. Bargatze's appearance at the event, where he was photographed behind Trump and with other prominent figures associated with the Trump administration, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, prompted some fans to call for an explanation.

Representatives for Bargatze have stated that the comedian is "family-friendly entertainment first" and is "not political, nor is anything he produces." They added that Bargatze is a longtime UFC fan and attended the event "to enjoy a sport he loves," noting that he has supporters across the political spectrum. This statement was issued after he was seen at the event, which marked his first public appearance after the controversy began.
