Natalie Portman, 45, has welcomed her third child, her first with French partner Tanguy Destable. The couple welcomed their baby in Paris last month, according to a source who spoke to People.

Portman and Destable, a musician and music producer, were first linked in March of last year. In April, Portman announced her pregnancy, telling Harper's Bazaar, "Tanguy and I are very excited. I'm just very grateful. I know it's such a privilege and a miracle."

The actress, who is the child of a fertility doctor, reflected on the difficulty some face in conceiving. "I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant," she said. "I have so many people I love who've had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It's such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it's also not an easy thing." She added, "And so I know how lucky it is. I'm very aware, and I'm very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude."

Portman has two children from her previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied: son Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9. The couple split in 2023 and finalized their divorce in 2024.

Portman has maintained a private personal life, with her last public appearance at a red carpet event being in January at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, alongside Jenna Ortega and Charli XCX. She has previously spoken about the value of privacy, especially regarding her children. "I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, 'I'm not going to do photo shoots with my kids,'" she told Interview magazine. "My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are."

Portman, who is known for her roles in "Black Swan" and the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, has spoken about enjoying a calmer pace of life, particularly while living in Paris. "There is a gratitude that when you're young, you don't necessarily grasp," she told Harper's Bazaar. "And there's a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day."
