Natalie Portman was photographed walking through Paris with boyfriend Tanguy Destable on Wednesday in a rare public appearance for the actress.
The 44-year-old Oscar winner appeared casual in a navy sweater, blue jeans and trainers as she carried a beige shoulder bag. Destable, also 44 and a French music producer who performs as Tepr, wore a denim overshirt and chinos and sported a salt-and-pepper beard. The couple went public with their relationship in March 2025.
Portman’s outing comes more than a year after her divorce from choreographer Benjamin Millepied was finalized in March 2024. The split ended an 11-year marriage; the couple met on the set of Portman’s film Black Swan in 2009, became engaged in 2010 and were married in 2012. They share two children, son Aleph and daughter Amalia.
Reports last year alleged Millepied had a relationship with a younger woman. Us Magazine published photographs showing Millepied kissing a woman in Paris on Oct. 15, 2024, and quoted a source saying Portman "isn't surprised" by his move back into dating and that she has been "prioritizing family and friends." A separate report in the French outlet Voici said Millepied had an affair with climate activist Camille Étienne; that account has been reported by multiple outlets.
Destable, who records under the name Tepr, has worked with a range of French artists, including DJ David Guetta and singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer. He previously dated French actress Louise Bourgoin; the pair, who were linked in 2013, have two sons, Étienne and Vadim.
Portman has kept a relatively low public profile since her divorce, focusing on family commitments and select professional projects. Millepied has continued his work in choreography and film. Neither Portman’s representatives nor Millepied’s were quoted in the reports surrounding the 2024 photographs or the subsequent coverage.
The Paris sighting is the latest public moment in Portman’s personal life since the end of her marriage. The actress, whose career includes an Academy Award for her performance in Black Swan, has balanced film and family life for more than a decade and has occasionally discussed the challenges of parenting while working in interviews and public appearances.
