Naomi Campbell and Leonardo DiCaprio were among the stars on the red carpet Tuesday night at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square for the London premiere of One Battle After Another.

Campbell, 55, arrived in a black wrap dress that revealed hints of her toned midriff and was joined on the carpet by Sabrina Elba, 36, who wore an angular black blazer dress. DiCaprio, the film’s lead, appeared in an open-buttoned black shirt and matching suit as he greeted fans and posed with co-stars including Teyana Taylor, who wore a black bralette paired with a long grey skirt and blazer.

The premiere gathered a broad group of talent and industry figures. Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn and Regina Hall are all listed among the ensemble; other attendees included Neelam Gill, Maya Rudolph, Caroline Daur, Edward Enninful, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Pierre and musician Sam Ryder. Filmmaker Fernando Sulichin accompanied Campbell on the carpet.

One Battle After Another is written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and is adapted from Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. The film follows DiCaprio’s character, Bob Ferguson, a disheveled revolutionary living off-grid in a state of paranoia who sets out to reconnect with former allies to track down his daughter. In one scene quoted by early coverage, the character says: "This is Bob Ferguson. I was a part of the French ’75. I cannot remember, for the life of my only child, the answer to your question. I need to find my daughter."

The production has been described as a high-stakes thriller with elements of black comedy and reportedly carries a production budget of more than $130 million. The film marks Anderson’s first feature since Liquorice Pizza (2021). Its original release date of Aug. 8 has been moved to Sept. 26.

Speaking about Anderson ahead of the premiere, DiCaprio said, "Any time that he asks, you work with PTA. This guy is like one of the great visionary filmmakers of my generation," and added that he continues to reference Anderson’s earlier work. Filmmaker Steven Spielberg was quoted in advance reactions as saying, "What an insane movie, oh my God. There is more action in the first hour of this than every other film you've ever directed put together. Everything, it is really incredible."

Early critical response has leaned positive, with reviewers highlighting the film’s energetic opening and its blend of action and dark humor. The cast list and director have drawn attention for bringing together established stars and frequent Anderson collaborators for an ambitious studio production.

The London premiere serves as a public introduction to a film that has generated industry anticipation for its adaptation of a well-regarded novel, its high-profile creative team and its sizable budget. Further reviews and the wider release in late September are expected to clarify how the film resonates with general audiences and critics alike.
