Nadiya Bychkova, the Strictly Come Dancing professional, 36, is fronting a new photoshoot for Step One, modelling five looks from the sustainable underwear brand. The Ukrainian-born star, known for her footwork and stage presence, flaunted a fit physique as she posed in the campaign ahead of another glitzy ballroom season.
In the first look, she wears a white SmoothFit padded bra paired with high-waisted body shorts. The second look features a blush pink set with the SmoothFit padded bra and classic bikini briefs. A nude-toned close-up shows off her tan, followed by a Blue Lagoon number highlighting her washboard abs and dancer's frame. The final look is a timeless black padded bra with high-waisted body shorts, offering both style and support.
Step One, founded by Australian entrepreneur Greg Taylor in 2017, focuses on sustainability and comfort. The underwear is made from organically grown bamboo viscose and features anti-chafe technology, sweat-wicking properties, and UltraGlyde panels to prevent ride-up, ensuring all-day freshness and confidence.
Nadiya, who has become synonymous with high-energy performance, spoke about the label's ethos. "When I rehearse, I would usually choose the black set. It's amazing, it's practical, you feel free because you can do anything. It's just so comfy. And I love it. My favourite fit is the bikini brief, but I do like body shorts too. It's such a difficult choice. I love it all." The shoot captured her in dynamic, dance-inspired settings that celebrated both her strength and the label's sleek, breathable designs.
The photoshoot comes as Nadiya navigates her personal life. She revealed she is avoiding dating apps following her split from fellow Strictly pro Kai Widdrington in June 2024. Kai has since gone Instagram official with new girlfriend Chloe Wells, and the couple has drawn attention for their public displays of affection.
At a separate public appearance, Nadiya attended the launch of Neer, a new social networking app, at Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London. She explained why she has shunned online dating, saying that in-person conversations are preferable to endless swiping in busy lives.
As for Kai and Chloe, media reports have suggested they may move in together in the coming months, signaling a shift in both dancers' personal lives. Representatives for Kai did not comment when contacted.
